An Unassuming Library
Ally {While the girl was back on only the third page of the book, to her it would only seem like a mere five minutes have passed before she would find herself finished. With the author sprinkling sarcastic quips in every page they could, the experience seemed to have gone by in a flash, and she would feel an obligatory increase in proficiency.} Kazuo "I would have thought of those things as basic facts. Then again, if you tried reading another one of those books it might do exactly as you said...that being said, I'm all up for more discussion, but it looks like our time is up." {Onigawara says, pointing over towards Library ripping out a sheet of notebook paper and writing on it. The sheet says closed" with girly handwriting and an exclamation mark that had a heart on it. Once Library puts the sheet on the window, everyone else in the room could hear the sound of a grandfather clock chiming.} "I look forward to seeing you again, if we ever do. Farewell, Kazuo." Everyone {Any books that they held in their hands would only disintegrate to dust. Those who were still in the small library-esque establishment would only need to blink their eyes once until they wound up back where they started. Outside a small corner of an indiscrete building. The humble library seemed to be no more, as all the residents who had not left before could only see a crumpled up sheet of paper on the ground near the building.}

Kazuo “Very backwards way to elaborately decline that you have. Interesting enough. I’ll let that part of the subject go for now.” {Onigawara says with a slight grin on his face; his curiosity, though tested, wasn’t enough for him to press on. The man really did feel interested in Kazuo, but he seems to prefer having Kazuo discover it on his own.} “What are your beliefs on this then? Do you merely study it for the sake of gaining knowledge, or is there some ulterior motive you possess?” {He inquired on, his calm stare turning into an analytical gaze, reaching for slightly vague but simple questions that could apply for anything.} Niko {As Niko reads on through the 68 pages, he learns about what came of Yukiko Okada when she had gotten her stardom, and how determined she was to achieve this rise of fame she worked for her whole early life. Though she left her hometown at an early age, it appeared that it only took her three years in Tokyo, Japan to manage to commit suicide by jumping off the roof of the seven-story Sun Music Building. At the end, it credits her songs that she made when she was still alive along with the author’s thoughts on the girl.} {When Niko finished the book, he obligatorily felt that he grew a bit in kindness as well as knowledge.} Alphinaud “Oh, erm, well...it really depends on the genre, but-“ Novella moves from her little reception desk stand and towards the third bookshelf, picking out one specific book without even looking at it to make sure it was right. The cover was of a museum that had “Guertana Art Gallery” on the front, most likely the title.} “This is a good read, it talks about a specific art gallery and how it had came to be. I-it’s honestly a bit impressive how they managed to make a read about a tourist attraction interesting.” Ally {As the girl opens the book, she finds that it’s sprinkled in with the words, “don’t look back” around the words “get better” in bright yellow. Despite the titular imperative phrase, the second page immediately dunks on the statement by showing off the cover of the book “Don’t Judge a Book by it’s Cover”, meaning the two were made by the same author. Other than that, there was the classic table of contents that showed the book had 41 pages in total.}

Kazuo {His search for Lilith was not all for naught, as Lilith was in the book, alongside Lilim. In Lilith’s page, the author seems to go off Jewish lore, and it describes how she came to be, her relations to Adam, and how she left the Garden of Eden. The author also says that Lilith bore children with Samael, an archangel.} {Likewise, Lilim’s page was right next to Lilith’s page, and was a mite bit shorter. It describes the details of how Lilim were the children of Lilith and were regarded as night spirits that danced for King Solomon. It was even said that they were hostile spirits that attacked men.} “Interesting. You say that the author has not met the same types? It would make sense that that would be the case, considering they’re normal high schoolers. Have you met these demons yourself, Kazuo?” {Onigawara says to Kazuo as he critiques the novice works of literature once more, as always, being calm about the subject as if he himself wants to say something about it.} Niko Page 5: Dumbo Ears. During Kayo Sato’s elementary school years, it was said that her ears were different than how most people’s normally were. They were flat and a bit big, some said to be the most noticeable part of her. The kids on the block even named her “Dumbo Ears” after the popular Disney character. It was due to this that Kayo Sato wore a hairstyle that covered her ears, though on one occasion she had wore her back during a contest that was airing on Japanese television.} {As Niko reads on, he can slowly feel his knowledge stat rise. If that’s useful.} Alphinaud {At the mention of the word ‘lecture’, the girl became even more jittery, now covering her slightly red face with her even redder book just to hide her embarrassment. Alphinaud could barely hear her words from behind the book.} “E-Eeehhh? Uhm, I don’t think I’m, um, able to do that? I’m so sorry...maybe someone else can help...sorry...” Ally {During her search, the specific books that the girl manages to come across were varying all around. From a book literally named “Don’t Judge a Book by it’s Cover” to “Don’t Read My Previous Works”, it seemed as if the tones of the books changed heavily based on whatever the submitter’s felt like. As such, the girl probably ended up on the bookshelf with more casual books like Alphinaud had.

Ooc: Thanks Ren, I’m back. You did wonderful. Just kidding. Kazuo {Inside he found info about a few demons, whether they were things he had already knew about or not would be up to his memory. Some stuck out more then others, for example; a demon king of hell named Beleth that ruled over Eighty-Five legions of demons during his reign, and he rode a pale horse, with a statement underlined saying, “all kinds of music has been heard before him” whatever that means. In the corner was an anime-esque picture of a blank faced male with blue hair and a heart.} {Another page was about a demon named Stolas, a fallen angel and one of the 72 Spirits of Solomon. He was said to appear as a crowned raven, crow or owl, and some even say he was just a crowned man. Like Beleth, Stolas also commands legions of demons and resides in hell, but unlike Beleth is just a demon prince and only commanded 26 legions. In the corner, there’s also some message that says “Not that one either, stfu Serra”.} In some other pages, there were familiar ones too, ones named Eligor and the Incubus and Succubus.} “Oh, you do? I-erm, I really like learning! It’d be nice if you could share some more of your knowledge on the subject if you considered coming back...” {While Novella was lost in thought, Onigawara tapped her on her shoulder and directed her towards Alphjnaud waiting at the reception desk, in which she mumbles to herself nervously and stumbles her way back over there.} Niko {Page 3, Yukiko Okada. “Yukiko Okada was a Japanese girl who was born in Ichinomiya, Aichi, Japan. Her family consisted of her mother, her father, her older sister, and finally herself. Her true name is Kayo Sato, since Yukiko Okada is just a stage name. Page 4, Early Life. “Not much is truly known about her childhood, but in her early life, she was noted to be more of a tomboyish girl that liked to be in the same classes as her older sister who was 2 years older than her.”} Alphinaud {As Library makes her way back, she nervously adjusted her glasses and her shirt before looking up at Rowan, picking back up her red book in the process and jittering in hopes that he can listen to it clearly enough.} “Y-yes? What would you like, s-sir?”
(edited by Pers31)

Thanks Ren, I guess I can leave the GM’ing in your capable hands. Goodnight for now.

Ooc: Sorry for the delay, I was a bit busy. Niko “Oh, t-that will be fine. I hope you enjoy it! {Novella nods towards Niko, breathing a sigh of relief when he goes off to check out the book. She puts the book she was reading down, with it’s extremely red cover in all it’s glory on the supposed reception desk. As Niko opens the book, it shows a black and white image of a teenage girl with short, black hair that covered her ears. She seemingly wore a white shirt and was smiling, but that smile didn’t reach her eyes. On the second page would be a regular table of contents, which indicated that the book had about 68 pages in total.} Kazuo {On the cover of the book would be a very detailed artwork of the demon named Baphomet that the author had done themselves, though since there was clearly an illustrator labeled underneath them it seemed as if that was the only drawing the author had did. On the back of the book, there was a short synopsis of the book in which the author says this book was mostly just a pet project they might not continue. In bold letters, there was a statement that read “No Serra, Hazbin Hotel will not be factored in this book.”.} {In just a few short moments, Library was back where Kazuo was, looking back up at him with a shy smile.} “Oh, you’re going to read that one now? T-That’s good! S-so how much do you think you know about the, erm, occult?”
(edited by Pers31)

Kazuo “Nothing much to note really. Library just felt like expanding her resources from the library she had at school and branched out a little. As student council president, I thought it best to start business here, letting students who were interested contribute as well. Not that complicated.” {Onigawara says complacently, his face as straight as a stone. While he didn’t move his shoulders at all, one would think that he were shrugging at Kazuo after his last question.} “And to answer that inquiry of yours...why wouldn’t we be? Tell you what, I’ll let you theorize about it for a little while you pick a book. If you still want to at least. Ms. Library would like it if you would.” Niko and Alphinaud “Oh, going to school? I l-like it there. Lucky for you, one of my, erm, patrons, actually wrote something of the sort regarding school. Though there are many ironic twists, I think it adds to the experience.” {Alphinaud’s expedition would simply be a drop in the ocean, the first page of the book reading as a thanks to the “24 year old white male” as well as the author’s dog and family and friends, and the chair they sit on. The second page would be of a drawing of their favorite mii character, the slightly crude recreation of the drawing labeled “Matt”.} “In regards to nonfiction, one of our first ones was “A Comprehensive Analysis Of Yukiko Okada”, a deceased pop star idol. At the same time, there are others in the shelves. We’re still a bit small though...sorry...uhm...”

Kazuo "Oh, you seem very experienced with your literature. I admit, even if it can get stale, it was still a very good read. Most of the patrons here come to the school Library goes to as well, and are still learning." {The man adjusts his vest before continuing with his conversation, going along with the subject and still answering Kazuo's questions with a straight face.} "Ms. Library is also just a little nickname I have no problem calling the girl. She didn't even know her own name until one of her good friends had named her "Novella"." Niko "Oh, t-that's fine. I recommend the uh," {She put down the notebook flat out open on her reception desk, shuffling over to get the book she dropped on the floor and presented it to Niko. The cover, while not eyebleeding, mostly consisted of the color red, almost as if it were bleeding on it's own.} "There's this one book where a classmate of mine proposes a theory about what would happen if society, uhm, kills the worst 1% of the whole population on Earth. I say it's interesting. But are there any specific genres you'd like to read?..." {She looks over Niko periodically and flashes Alphinaud a thumbs up, laughing awkwardly to herself in order to comfort her anxious outlook. The titles that he does manage to read consist of some like "8 Plans to Secretly Vaccinate Karen's Kids and I'm a Recluse and spend 8 hours in my room to play Wii Sports and other eccentric titles like that. The section that he found himself on had more casual or slightly self-aware and transparent tones.}

Kazuo "Oh, uh, these books were actually submitted by a few customers that frequent the place. I like to call them, erm, patrons. Y-you know, I'd love to guide you and tell you about my favorites, but uuhh, ooh..." {The girl looked behind her to see the other arrivals, and then slouched her figure, resting the book she was reading over her head and mumbling incomprehensibly fast words out of her mouth as she admitted defeat. She doesn't usually expect more than one person at a time, so it's clear that she looked to be struggling. However, when all hope seemed lost for her, a very ficitious man appeared by her side.} ???: "It's alright, Library. You can go ahead and work with the others. I'll guide this fellow here." Library: "O-oh, thank you so very much Mr. Onigawara!" {She went off back to her own desk as the new arrival who was seemingly always there in the first place now proceeds to interact with Kazuo in her steed. He wore basic white shirt and a black vest, dressed formally with a black tie. His skin was pale and his head was bald, but his smile seemed so calm that it was almost unnerving.} Onigawara: "Now then, would you like to be told about some stories? There was this one made by one of Ms. Library's lovely patrons that tells a story about a vengeful spirit possessing a distraught father which makes him slowly devolve into madness and insanity. Very enriching, no? I fancy fiction." Other people. {Library girl returns to her desk, ripping out a page from her notebook from under her chair and scribbling the word "Reception" on with girly handwriting, even putting the heart dot like she did with the sign outside.} Library: "H-h, erm, greetings! What would you like to do?...and erm...do you know him?" {She points to Alphinaud nervously, her hand carrying the pen and her arm still occupied with the notebook.}
(edited by Pers31)

“YAaA-“ {The girl yelled back in her seat, rocking back towards the chair almost falling. Her glasses shook a little bit from her suddenly jolting backward, but they miraculously did not fall off. She did however, drop her book, so she went out of her seat to retrieve it before looking at her new arrival.} “O-oh, uh, erm, welcome! I-er, we have...two specific books about that stuff. And some others if that suits you.” {She pulled out a few books from the shelf selected, calling out a few of their names. The girl had her black hair put in two braids, and wore a white shirt and pink skirt. Her fashion seemed to be that of any regular schoolgirl.} “Most well known demons in mainstream media, a list of accidents regarding spirits. Oh, but there’s also a few fiction novels, like a spirit that roams the girls bathrooms and grants ones wishes...or something...erm...would you like to look for y-yourself?”

{Outside of the streets of Shibuya sat an indistinct, humble building. When eyes are on it, the building somehow draws people in, even if it seemed very easy to miss. Just an extremely minute detail was the small paper on one of the windows with hastened girly handwriting, reading "Library?". The dot on the question mark was a heart.} {Inside, it was structured to be like that of what seemed to be someone's room, yet it wasn't really. A small space to roam around, only 4 bookshelves to choose from with rows of 30 at most. At a desk sitting in front of the entrance was a girl that was busy reading a book of her own, her face being covered by it as if she wanted to really be immersed.}
Quick Question
Did you cheat on your girlfriend the first time you played or did you just stay alone? I was loyal to Hifumi my first playthrough but I didn't know this until now.
