Midnight is a special time for gas stations. The visitors, if any, are certainly not boring. But with the quiet of the night, the massive dragon snake coiled behind the counter is bored out of its mind. It stares blankly at the door. Pinned to its vest is a “Hello! My Name is RAYQUAZA!” badge. Stacked around its checkout counter are snacks and a few promotional items.
A little 6th grader runs towards the store, tripping near the entrance. She continues forward, browsing through the various candy bar before turning to the massive dragon at the counter, approaching and looking up to it's face.
"Hey, mister, you think i'm cute, right?"
Rayquaza slowly blinks.
It uncoils itself, stretching all the way to the snack section, then gives her one headpat. It coils back up and starts messing around with the magazines.
She blushes and smiles, responding in perfect English despite the fact she was a Japanese citizen.
"Ehehe, I knew it, I really am the cutest after all!"
Noa then runs off, returning with a pack of twizzlers and a bottle of chocolate TruMoo, placing them on the counter and taking out US dollars to pay with.
Rayquaza wonders what to convert that to, but realizes it isn’t paid enough to care. It scans the items and puts them in a bag.
It says that farewell(?) with zero energy.
Noa takes the bag and opens the twizzlers on the spot, taking one out and nibbling on it as he slowly starts to walk out of the store.
“Oooh good choice.”
A boisterous young girl with a long, flowing scarf. comments as she passes Noa, going inas the other girl leaves the store.
Crystia wanders around the store herself, looking g up and down the magazine section as she goes.
“Hey do you got any fashion stuff or is it all tabloids?”
She asks the person at the counter without even looking.
The dragon just shrugs. Knocking some magazines over with its tail, it finally uncovers last week’s issue of some fashion magazine.
"oh, nice! Pretty recent too."
Crystia exclaims as she looks over some of the magazines. The girl looks over the magazine for a bit. As the girl looks she occasionally mutters to herself or points something out
"Yeah this look good to you? 'Least that's what I think."
It takes her a moment to notice the cashier. Though the high-school age girl's eyes light up, she slowly shakes her head before picking up some of the knocked-over magazines. with an apology
"Yeah sorry, I must have gotten excited. Anyways cool place. Anyways..."
After fixing the magazines the girl heads into the main store to grab a bag of twizzlers and a bottle of true moo to bring to the counter.
"I'll just have these two alright?"
The dragon gives her a small nod and rings up the order. It’s a little more attentive about it, perhaps as thanks for cleaning up its mess.
"Awesome, thanks a bunch."
The girl brings out her money to make the relatively small order, patiently waiting for the bag before running back out the door
"Nice uniform by the way!"
The girl shouts back to Rayquaza before running off into the night
As the girl leaves the place, a lone dog sneaks it's way into the building as the door closes. It adjusts the yellow glasses stuck on it's face, before standing on it's hind legs to reach the counter. The dog smiles to look at whoever was unfortunate to be working at the gas station at this hour, surprised at the Rayquaza working the register, making it's smile become an apprehensive grin.
"You know...I did not really expect draconic serpents such as yourself to be employed in this type of occupation...Oh right-"
The dog went to fetch a random bag of chips and set it on the counter along with 2 American dollars magically appearing right next to it.
"My pet sitter said to "keep the change" while she "hit a fat blunt". Whatever that means."
Rayquaza lets out a huff that can only be described as a vaguely amused rumbly cough. The dragon scans it, observes the brand to silently judge the purchase, then uses its tail tip to hold out the shopping bag with bag of chips inside. Bagception.
Seeing the dragon at least be slightly entertained by his words made the dog loosen up a bit, though there were no other reasons to stick around now that he has gotten what he came for.
"Ah, two bags. How cultured."
He says with a smile on his face before holding his paw out and grabbing the bag, setting it on the ground before looking back at the employee. There was a slip of paper attached to him that read "pls do not disturb doggo"
"Don't fret, I'm able to open this door. Farewell, sir. Now I'll be able to get this dreaded sign off my body."
The dog bites onto the straps of the bag to get a better grip of the thing before letting the door open by itself, somehow. It runs off into the night with it's bag inside of a bag.

A young man then walks into the building, a phone clutched in his hands, and his eyes glued on the phone screen. Though, he soon looks up to take in his environment. As his eyes meet the legendary pokemon behind the counter, he quickly looks back to his phone.
"So... is this the legendary raid?" He mutters to himself, a hand resting on his chin. These Pokemon Go updates sure have taken the 'pokemon in real life' concept to the next level.

The next to enter the store is a dog-like creature with white and electric yellow, spiky fur. What was this creature doing here exactly? Who knows? Perhaps he just wants to interact with some new people for once in a long while. The Jolteon takes survey of the store’s interior, his eyes locking on the snake-like creature behind the counter. His eyes widen with his mouth gaping wide open.
“Oh my Arceus... Yer... Erm..”
The Jolteon chokes on his words in astonishment. A moment later he clears his throat and gains his composure.
“A-Are ya really the legendary Pokémon, Rayquaza? Or, not to offend ya if you really are ‘em, are ya just another Zoroark tryin’ to fool others with yer disguise?”
Rayquaza rolls its eyes at the phone. Typical human teenagers. The jolteon gets its attention, though. It leans forward, bracing its tiny arms on the counter.
“Kreee. Ryyyah. (Indeed I am. Why I work here is a long story.)”
Its tail tip lashes at thin air. Any more and it’d knock something else over. Speaking of the air, it has a controlled feeling that even an AC unit couldn’t hope to match. The legendary may not have the pressuring aura of others of its kind, but it makes up for that with a supernatural Air Lock.
